Noticeboard

From 1st October 2018, GP services for registered patients at Battle Hill will be provided by Park Road Medical Practice. You will still be able to access GP services at Battle Hill Health Centre, but after that date you will also have the option of attending the surgery at 93 Park Road, Wallsend.


Please continue to use GP services at Battle Hill in the normal way. On 1st October 2018, your registration will automatically transfer to Park Road Medical Practice as your new provider.

Ante-natal appointments:

Our midwife has a clinic every Tuesday and Thursday 09:00 - 13:00. Once your pregnancy has been confirmed, the midwife will contact you to make an appointment.

 

Chronic Disease Management and Prevention:

Chronic diseases are long term conditions that need regularly reviewed. Appointments to review these are offered by our Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant. Please see below to find out who you should book an appointment with:

 

Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease

Initial Chronic Disease Review: Health Care Assistant (15 mins)

Follow up Chronic Disease Review: Practice Nurse (15 mins)

 

Asthma/COPD

Asthma Review: Practice Nurse (30 mins)

COPD Review: Practice Nurse (30 mins)

 

Contraception:

We are able to offer condom distribution, the contraceptive pill and the depot injection to our registered patients. For all other contraception and sexual health enquiries, please contact the One to One Centre in Shiremoor.

Lifestyle Management:

Our Health Care Assistant offers appointments for Smoking Cessation and Weight Management. If you want help to lose weight or quit smoking why not call and book an appointment?

X-ray and Ultrasound

Due to unforeseen circumstances X-ray will only be available on the following days and times:

Saturday 13:00-16:00

No appointment is needed however you must have been referred for an X-ray from an appropriate clinician such as your own GP or one of our Walk-in Nurse Practitioners.

 

Our Ultrasound clinic runs on a Monday 08:30-16:30 and operates on an appointment based following a referral from your GP.
